‘Further opportunities to experience the joys of messing about in boats’
Medway Yacht Club is very excited to announce that the ‘Youth Group’ is having so much fun with great personal achievements on the water and new friends being made.
Youth sailing will continue with some structured sessions including introductions and briefing and on the water and shoreside activities. The aim will be to build confidence and sailing skills.
The sessions will be led by Senior Instructor Hassan Kamara and our Dinghy Instructor Kerry Worsfold.
Parents/Guardians and volunteer members are encouraged to support with rigging/de-rigging, launching and recovery of the boats. Those with qualifications and/or experience will assist with roles such as shoreside VHF support and powerboat helms and crews. There are always opportunities to qualify parents to help with these roles.
We welcome members and non-members to these sessions.
Each session is £5 for members and £10 for non-members.
Boat hire is £5 per session or bring your own boat!
