Eligibility, Handicaps & Classes
The racing is open to cruisers of MYC members and non-members as bona fide guests of the club. Entrants will be able to opt to enter using any combination of RYA Yacht Time Correction (YTC) handicaps, IRC handicaps and Club Handicaps (CH). CH are allocated by the Club and adjusted based on results that are clear evidence of the speed the cruisers are sailed over water. There is a mechanism for adding cruisers without a track record. Here are the current Club Handicaps. They are indicative of the handicaps that will be used to place cruisers in classes. Courses will be carefully chosen to ensure, as far as possible, that no advantage or disadvantage is given to cruisers across the range of handicaps within classes because of the tidal streams.
