Racing starts at Medway club this coming weekend. The Club has been a hive of activity over the past few weeks as the Bosun’s team and members prepare their yachts for launching and dinghies are returned to the dinghy park.
Located at Lower Upnor on the banks of the tidal River Medway just down river from Chatham’s historic dockyard, Medway Yacht Club is only 35 miles from Central London and is easily accessible from the M25.
The Club offers a mix of racing for cruisers and one design yachts and dinghies.
The cruisers usually race on Sundays with the first race of the Spring Series due to start on 30 April. The calendar includes several different Series and Trophy races as well as the annual Keelboat Regatta and the popular Autumn Series.
