Dr Henry Oakeley is a Garden Fellow at the Royal College of Physicians in London where he teaches on the plants in its Medicinal Garden. He will be talking on Saturday 10 February at 12:30pm at the Medway Yacht Club on Why Poisonous Plants make Good Medicines.- from using Deadly Nightshade for removing cataracts and preventing nerve gas poisoning to how they stopped our seasickness pill from being hallucinogenic and Chinese lanterns for treating congenital disorders of metabolism and diabetes.
