Who should do this course?
If you are an adult interested in developing your sailing with an instructor aboard the dinghy, this course is for you. Medway Yacht Club instruct using the Wayfarer dinghy.
Build your confidence and develop your skills. By the end of this course, you’ll be a competent sailor in light winds.
Pre-course experience: sailing skills to the standard of Level 1 Start Sailing.
Assumed Knowledge: theory in dinghy Level 1 Start Sailing Syllabus
Course content: rigging, launching and building confidence sailing in all directions. Capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge.
Ability after course: able to sail confidently on all points of sail and make decisions in good conditions.
Minimum duration: 2-day course.
Minimum age: 16
