The evenings entertainment will be “A Little Night Music”, featuring a cocktail of jazz, musicals and opera.

Presented by:

William Morgan – tenor

William’s performing work is an eclectic mix of operatic world premieres, classical repertoire and operetta, and has included work for English National Opera, Scottish Opera as well as companies farther afield. He’s currently the tenor lead in ENO’s Pirates of Penzance.

With fond memories of learning to sail at MYC, the natural connection between music and the waves is obvious and he is delighted to be performing with friends for the club this evening.

Lucy Hall – Soprano

Lucy’s operatic highlights include Konstanze in Mozart’s The Seraglio with the English Touring Opera, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice for Scottish Opera, Jen in 4.48 Psychosis and Lila in The Firework Maker’s Daughter for the Royal Opera, and Galatea in Acis and Galatea for English National Opera.

Richard West – pianist

Quipped as being a “cross between Fats Waller and Rachmaninov” – Richard West is a classically trained pianist with experience and passion for Jazz. Based in Cardiff, Richard performs regularly with ensembles including Gethin Liddington’s “Goodkatz”, the Capital City Jazz Orchestra, and Jeremy Huggett’s “Chosen 5”. He has performed with well-known singers such as Jeff Hooper, Matthew Ford and Clare Teal, and has made appearances at the Welsh Proms at St David’s Hall, jazz festivals including those at Brecon, Pershore and the Old Duke in Bristol, and on live broadcasts for S4C and Radio Cymru.
